Arthur Thomas Bassett
AUBURN - Arthur Thomas Bassett, 60, of Auburn, died Friday, Sept. 3, 1993, in Auburn General Hospital.
He was born April 12, 1933, at Anacortes where he lived until the fourth grade. He moved to Mukilteo, then Chelan and finally Tonasket, where he graduated from high school.
He married ]Eula Jones in 1953.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955, then moved to Spokane where he worked for Pacific Northwest Bell. He was transferred in 1963 to Auburn. He was a manager for U.S. West and retired in 1988.
He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers Club.
He is survived by his wife of Auburn; a daughter, Robin Elder of Redmond; three brothers, Ray O. of Renton, Jack A. of Vallejo, Calif., and Frank E. of Yuma, Ariz; two sisters, Doris E. Maring of Leavenworth and Lillian M. Troxel of Homedale, Idaho; and two grandchildren.
Arrangements are by the Price-Helton Funeral Home, Auburn.
