Glen Dale Bass
Funeral services for Glen Dale Bass, 70, of Cushing will be at 3 p.m. Sunday June 26, 2011, at Dickie Allen Funeral Home Chapel in Cushing with the Rev. Jonathan Suber and the Rev. Ronnie Luman officiating. Interment will follow at McKnight Cemetery in Cushing. Mr. Bass died Thursday, June 23, 2011, in Nacogdoches. He was born October 11, 1940, to Thurman and Beatrice Wilkerson Bass in Cushing, Texas. He had many family and friends who loved him. He never met a stranger and always tried to make people laugh. He had a great sense of humor and will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Gayla Bass; and daughter, Alice Nanette Bass Tienda. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Micheal Tienda of Houston, Texas; sisters, Nelwyn Bass Rawlinson of Cushing, Texas, and Rita Bass Suber of Shreveport, La.; grandchildren, Fallon Tienda and Nicholas Tienda of Porter, Texas, and Taryn Tienda and Evan Tienda of Houston, Texas; and many other relatives Pallbearers will be Nathan Slatter, Adam Slatter, Douglas Hicks, James "Bo" Wilkerson, Gary Jones and Evan Tienda. Honorary pallbearer will be Marty Wheeler. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2011, at the funeral home in Cushing. Dickie Allen Funeral Home, Cushing.
