      Mrs. Bertha R. Bassett

      Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha R. Bassett, 56, will be held at 2 p.m. Frida yin the funeral parlors of R.T. Jones, Newark, where friends may call between 7 and 9 p.m. tomorrow. Interment will be at Presbyterian Cemetery, Christiana.
      The wife of Walter O. Bassett of Red Lion, she died yesterday in Delaware Hospital where she had been a patient for a week. She had been ill eight months.
      Born in Maryland, Mrs. Bassett had lived in Wilmington and near Newark before moving to Red Lion a number of years ago.
      In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Paul A> Gooden, Brookland Terrace, and Mrs. William L. Godwin, Forst Brook Glen; two brothers, Tilghman Thomas, State Road, and William Thomas, Cleveland, O.; four sisters, Mrs. Frank Sylvester, Mrs. Arthur Hamilton and Mrs. Leroy Godwin, all of Wilmington, and Mrs. O.K. Nelton of Centreville, Md. and one grandchild, Sharon Lee Godwin.
