Helen Long Bass
Helen Long Bass died on June 18, 2021, at The University of Chicago Medical Center, Chicago, IL. She was born in Milledgeville, Georgia on January 22, 1934. She was the daughter of Helen Lanier (Granade) and Robert Edgar Long. Helen Bass was a friend to all who knew her, and she especially treasured time spent with her family. She shared her love of Bible study and of music with a great many friends and piano students. She was a lifelong participant in community volunteer work.Mrs. Bass was preceded in death by her husband, the late Wesley E. Bass, Jr. They had been married for fifty-three years. She is survived by two daughters: Betsy (James) Shands and Catherine (Ronald) Perona, and four granddaughters: Corey and Hanna Perona and Erin and Laura Shands. Funeral Service, Saturday, July 17, 2021 2:30 p.m. at Kenilworth Union Church, 211 Kenilworth Avenue, Kenilworth. Illinois 60043.
