February 16, 2011 Miss Mildred Louise Bass, Age 85, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at NHC Healthcare, Smithville, TN. Miss Bass was born August 22, 1925 in Dowelltown, TN., the daughter of the late Lillian Corley and Lannis Archie Bass and a sister to the late Thurman Oakley Bass, Sarah Avant, Clara Sanders and Bessie Lee Colvert. She was a native of Dowelltown and was currently a resident of NHC, Smithville, TN., where she was lovingly cared for by the staff at NHC. Miss Mildred is survived by a sister, Martha Corley Bass Banks of Dowelltown, TN. Numerous Nieces and Nephews. Miss Bass? remains are at the Avant Funeral Home where services will be held on Friday, February 18, 2011 at 1:00 P.M., with Bro. Matt Long and Bro. Bobby Colvert, officiating. Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery, Liberty, TN.The Bass Family will receive friends at Avant Funeral Home on Friday from 12:00 Noon until service time at 1:00 P.M.
