She was born on December 18, 1930 to the late Rev. J.C. and Mary Ella (Butler) Atkins in Franklin, Texas. Eunice married James Junior Bass. She worked at Companion Care, as a caregiver, for 27 years, and retired in 2003. Eunice was kind, loving, and raised four wonderful men. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, J.D. Bass and wife, Bonnie, Charlie Bass; siblings, Edward Atkins, Edythe Currey, Eloise Davis, Evelyn Wiggins; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband, James; sons, Jimmie and Claude Bass; two siblings, Ernest Atkins, and Estelle Jordan. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Friday, September 8, 2017 with service starting at 11:00 a.m. at Venue on Broadway.
