Stanley David Bass Jr.
Stanley D. Bass, 81, passed away in his home in Weldon, Illinois. He was the son of David and Catherine (McCormick) Bass. He married Ruby A. Wright on April 25, 1953 in Bridgeport, Illinois and she survived him.
In addition to his wife, he was survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dean and Terry Bass and Mark A. and Jackie Bass; a daughter, Alice M. Harris; and a sister, Catherine Baker.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Danny L. Bass on November 7, 1986. Funeral services for Stanley D. Bass were held on August 28, 2010 in the Weldon Baptist Church, Weldon, Illinois followed by interment in the Mount Zion Cemetery in Mount Zion, Illinois.

WELDON ? Stanley D. Bass, 81, of Weldon died 10:30 a.m. Tuesday (Aug. 24, 2010) in his residence.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Weldon Baptist Church, with Pastor Clyde Shreve officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday in Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton. Burial will be Mount Zion Township Cemetery, with military honors. Memorials: Weldon Baptist Church.
Mr. Bass was born Feb. 26, 1929, in Bridgeport, the son of David Bass and Catherine McCormick Bass. He was a tool and die maker for 40 years and was an Air Force veteran, stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He was affiliated with the Weldon Baptist Church.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He married Ruby A. Wright on April 25, 1953, in Bridgeport.
Surviving are his wife; children, Dean Bass and wife Teri of Decatur; Mark A. Bass and wife Jackie of Clinton; and daughter, Alice M. Harris of Rantoul; sister, Catherine Baker of Bridgeport; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Danny Bass.
