Rena Bassett Holmes
Rena Bassett Holmes died peacefully Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010. at Twin Falls Care Center.
Rena was born Dec. 29, 1932, in Springdale, Idaho, to David and O'Rena Burgess. She married Ken Bassett in 1957. They lived in Twin Falls and northern Nevada and had four children. Her husband, Ken, died in 1987. Rena remarried Burt Holmes, who was the love of her life, and lived in Hagerman. Her time with him was too short; she lost Burt in 1999. Rena worked at Roper's as a tailor until she retired. She enjoyed sewing and gardening.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, Ken Bassett and Burt Holmes; and her grandson, Jeremy. She is survived by her children, Lori Bassett, Ken Bassett, Karla (Allan) Moyle and Lisa Oneida; grandchildren, Kevin Moyle, Rodney Moyle, Andrea Oneida, Brad Oneida, Cassie (Kyle) Weatherspoon, Jasper Bassett and Kaitlyn Bassett.
A memorial service for Rena will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, at Parke's Magic Valley Funeral Home, 2551 Kimberly Road in Twin Falls, with Pastor Dale Metzger officiating.
