Jerry Bass
Jerry Lee Bass, of Las Vegas, passed away from cancer, Friday, Nov. 9, 2012. He was born July 23, 1946 in Indianapolis. He is survived by his wife, Caroline Preston Bass; sons, Edwin James Bass and Stephen Brodie Bass; daughter-in-law, Brandi Bass; grandchildren, Breece, Breanne and Broderick Bass; daughter, Angeline Rene Young; and son-in-law, Chris Young. Jerry attended Greenwood High School in Indiana and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1965-1969. From 1964-2001 Jerry was employed with Ely Lilly and Co. in Indianapolis, he was an ABC Indianapolis Morning News interpreter, a director for Deaf Community Services, a United Way affiliate also in Indianapolis, he was a nationally certified American Sign Language interpreter and owner of Preston Bass Interpreting Services in Las Vegas. Jerry was on the Indiana Board of Interpreter Standards, a member and past president of both the Indiana and Nevada Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf and was on the National Ethical Practices Committee of RID. He was also a member of Children of Deaf Adults, the National Association of the Deaf and Nevada Association of the Deaf. Jerry enjoyed golf, poker, movies and family. Services will be at 1 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 2, at Siena Community Center, 10575 Siena Monte Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89135. Donations may be sent to Caroline Bass, PO Box 370162, Las Vegas, NV 89137 for the establishment of a scholarship for children of Deaf parents wishing to become professional sign language interpreters.

Stephen Brodie Bass
Stephen Brodie Bass, 45, born December 25, 1977 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Brodie passed away on March 21, 2023 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
He is survived by his wife, Brandi Bass (Phillips); Daughters, Breanne Bass and Breece Bass; mother, Elaine Bass (Fortner); Stepmom, Caroline Bass (Preston); Sister, Angeline Young (Bass); Brother, Edwin Bass, and many more family and friends.
He is predeceased by his father, Jerry L Bass (2012) and son, Broderick J Bass (2021).
Brodie graduated from Greenwood high school in 1996 and served in the United States Air Force from 1996 to 2000. While serving, Brodie fueled Air Force One twice and served two tours of duty in Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates. He worked for Charter Communications for 13 years. Brodie was known for his entertaining stories, his love for his family, his great impersonations of people, cars, being around people and friends, soccer, and grilling out, to name a few. Brodie had a huge heart and an infectious smile. He will be missed by so many. He will forever live on in our hearts and through the amazing amount of memories he has made and left for all of us throughout his life. Until we meet again, fly high Brodie.
Services for Brodie are Monday, March 27 at 11:00 AM at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory-Franklin Township Chapel. Family and friends may call on Sunday, March 26 from 1-4:00 PM at the funeral home.

Broderick James Bass
Indianapolis - Broderick James Bass, 22, of Indianapolis passed away on June 9, 2021. He was born in Little Rock, AR on May 11, 1999. He is survived by his father, Stephen Brodie Bass; his mother, Brandie M. Bass; sisters, Breanne and Breece Bass; grandparents, James and Bonnie Phillips, Alice Elaine Bass and Caroline Preston Bass, as well as his uncles, aunts, cousins, and many friends.
Broderick graduated with honors from Franklin Central High School in 2018. He had an infectious and charming smile. Seeing Broderick without a smile was a rare occasion. Always full of ideas and plans, he loved being around people and was always willing to entertain others with his silly words, crazy stories and laughs. He was truly a unique soul. Broderick's first job was at Chick-fil-A, where he worked all through high school. He dreamed of someday franchising his own restaurant. He will be missed greatly and will forever live on in our hearts and minds.
