One of the prettiest marriages of the season took place yesterday afternoon at 4 oâ??clock, at the residence of the brideâ??s parents, 67 Crew Street.
The bride was Miss Ida Bennett of this city, and the groom was Mr. Charles C. Bass, of Rome.
Miss Bennett is one of Atlantaâ??s most gifted young ladies and looked unusually charming and lovely in a handsome traveling gown, embroidered with silk and trimmed with crepe de chine.
Mr. Bass is one of Romeâ??s most prosperous and influential young business men, and numbers his friends all over Georgia and the adjoining states.
The marriage was very quiet, only the most intimate friends of the bride and groom being present. The ceremony was performed by Reverend Dr. H. C. Morrison in his usual impressive manner.
After the ceremony an elegant collation was served, after which the happy couple left by the Western and Atlantic for Cincinnati, Washington and other points on their bridal tour.
The best wishes and congratulatons of a host of friends are extended Mr. and Mrs. Bass on the happiness which is theirs.
