Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Amarillo. Velma was born September 12, 1930, in Clayton, NM to Henry and Emma Pillot. She married Walter Dee Bass in 1950; he preceded her in death in 1983. Velma was a Baptist. Survivors include three daughters, Arlis Garrett and husband Benny, of Lubbock, TX, Anita Noland and husband Neil, of Grove, OK, and Karla TeBeest and husband Steve, of Amarillo, TX; a sister, Mary Jo Bass, of Felt, OK; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
