Brenda G. Bassett, 83, of Sullivan, passed away at 6:35 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2026 in her residence.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2026 in Greenhill Cemetery, Sullivan.

Brenda was born April 6, 1943 in Hamlet, North Carolina, the daughter of Earl and Doris Jordan Harris. She had been a waitress for the Sullivan Country Club and had worked at Coast to Coast Hardware in Sullivan. Brenda was a member of the Sullivan American Legion Auxiliary. She married Larry Bassett on December 31, 1963 in Bennettsville, South Carolina.
Surviving are her husband Larry of Sullivan; daughter Robin (Richard) Kruckeberg of Sullivan; son Kirk (Nicki) Bassett of Sullivan.
Brenda was the proud grandmother to Dan Kruckeberg, Emily (Michael) Pisani, Sidney (Matt) Mottershaw, Keegan Kruckeberg, Jordan Bassett, Jade Bassett and Maddux Bassett.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Edith Walters and grandson Richard (Sam) Kruckeberg.
