  Notes	The Virginian-Pilot, Norfolk, Virginia, Thursday, 19 January 1984 Willie Bass PORTSMOUTH ? Willie Wright Bass, 65, a native of Wilson County, N.C., died Tuesday in a hospital. Bass had retired in 1970 from a job at Norfolk Naval Shipyard. After his retirement, he became a motivational speaker in the area of free enterprise in America. Bass was a member of Sweethaven Baptist Church and a charter member of the Southeastern Dream-builders Association. Survivors include his wife, Naomi P. Bass, a daughter, Louise Malosh of Hampton, a sister, Jean Eilers of Morehead City, N.C.; five brothers, Levin Bass Jr., Carl Bass, Jesse Bass and Mallie Bass, all of Rocky Mount, N.C., and Noah Bass of Princeton, Ky.; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, by the Revs. Damon Wyatt and Marty Tingelhoff. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 10 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be sent to the Easter Seal Foundation.
