Betty B. Christoffersen
Betty, 82, died in her sleep at her home in San Diego, California on December 13, 2003. Betty was born Elizabeth Bertha Bassett on June 13, 1921 in Chicago, Illinois to George and Bertha Bassett, both deceased. She was a resident of San Diego County for over 65 years. Betty worked as a civil service employee for the united State Marine Corps as a medical clerk; she retired in 1927 after 30 years of employment. In 1973, Betty went to work for Cloister?s of Mission Hills and retired from there after 22 years of employment. She loved animals and was a longtime member of the San Diego Human Society and S.P.C.A. and the Sn Diego Zoological Society. Distant relatives and many friends will miss Betty. Graveside service Friday, December 19, 2003 at 11 a.m. at El Camino Park, 5600 Carroll Canyon Rd., S.D. Arrangements handled by Merkley-Mitchell Mortuary.
