Joe L. Bass
Bass, Joe L., 84, of St. Cloud, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, April 24, 2004. A member of a pioneer Osceola County family, he was born in Kissimmee on April 7, 1920, the son of the late Wade Hampton and Frances Bass. He was a lifelong resident of Osceola County. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a life member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter AL 87. He was a faithful member of Eastern Avenue Baptist Church in St. Cloud. He and his wife were foster parents for 19 years. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Betty Lois; sons, Joe H. and David W. both of Kissimmee, Michael E. of St. Cloud; daughter, Chyrle L. Munson of Pensacola; sisters, Helen Rogers of Kissimmee and Edna Galloway of Corpus Christi, Texas; 12 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Calling hours will be 5-8 p.m., Tuesday at Grissom Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday from Eastern Avenue Baptist Church, with Reverend Billy R. Rigsby officiating. Burial will follow at Osceola Memory Gardens. Arrangements by Grissom Funeral Home and Crematory, 407- 847-3131.
