McConnells, South Carolina - Kenneth Wayne Bass, 76, of McConnells, SC passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Monday, July 25, 2022 at Bratton Funeral Home, 1455 Filbert Hwy. York, SC 29745. The funeral service will begin at 10 AM on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Olivet Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Chip McArthur officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Wayne was born on July 26, 1945 in York County. He was the son of the late Howard Gould Bass and Elizabeth Culp Bass and was the widower of Betty Jo Rockholt Bass. He retired from Rock Hill Printing and Finishing and was a member of Olivet Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Wayne was a dedicated member of APA, American Poolplayers Association, and avid fisherman, and a 2008 South Carolina State Champion of Horseshoe pitching. Wayne loved to sing karaoke and made many friends doing so.
Wayne is survived by his daughter, Marie Broome and her husband Scott; grandchildren, Josh Broome, Logan Broome (Emily), and Macayla Broome; great grandson, Kingston Broome; and brother, Laurence Keith Bass.
In addition to his wife and parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his daughter, Nicole Bass.
