Faye (Henry) Porter (1936 ? 2018) (Picture included)
Faye Henry Porter, 82, of Knox, passed away Aug. 12, 2018.
Faye was born Jan. 26, 1936 in Charleston Township to the late Roscoe and Leora Bassett Henry.
She was preceded in death by children, Donald Francis Porter II and Vicki Lynn Rudolph; brother, Jack Henry; sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Thomas Medeiros and sister-in-law Jennie Porter.
She graduated from Charleston School District where she was Miss Suburban Wellsboro in 1953.
On Aug. 17, 1951, Faye met her true love and partner for life, Donald Francis Porter of Wellsboro.
As Louis Armstrong sang it best, "A Kiss to Build a Dream On."
Faye and Don married on July 4, 1954 and together had three beautiful children, Donald Francis II, Vicki Lynn and Kevin.
Those left to cherish Faye's memory are her devoted husband, Donald Francis Porter; son Kevin; siblings: Gary and Ruth Henry, Joyce and Dick English and Margaret and Kenneth Waters; daughter-in-law Patricia Fleming Porter; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Amos and Kim Rudolph; children Josephine Faye and Emmett Gerald; Jacob Rudolph, children Alexandra Lynn and Emma Leigh; Brandi and Will Smith, children Vicki Arlene and Eliza Wray; Megan Porter; Kirk and Tara Porter, children Mehki Christian Tharan and Aidan Bradley Tharan. Also surviving: sister-in-law Roberta Henry; sister and brother-in-law Phyllis and Bert Garrison; sister-in-law Lois Fisher; brother-in-law Harold Porter as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Per Faye's wishes, there will be no memorial or service.
In lieu of services, to help remember this incredibly sweet, loving woman, make it a point to live life as best you can, share memories, meals and stories with your loved ones. Take time to find a partner to share the ups and downs life can bring your way, supporting each other.
