Nila M. Stonebraker
Nila M. Stonebraker, 89, died Friday, April 26, 1996, at the Broad Acres Nursing Home, Wellsboro.
Born Aug. 6, 1906, in Wellsboro, she was the daughter of James and Ava Peaslee Bassett.
She was lifelong resident of Wellsboro and a retired operator from Bell Telephone.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Cecil T. Stonebraker in 1984, and a son, Elwood Stonebraker.
Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Vaudeen and Paul Gorley of San Francisco, Calif. and Roselyn Eldridge of Wellsboro; a son and daughter-in-law, LaRue and Mary Stonebraker of Houston, Texas; a sister, Leora Henry of Wellsboro; grandchildren, Tom and Sharon Gorly of Gilroy, Calif., Mike Stonebraker of Houston, Texas, Marquene and Walter ?Bud? Kane of Wellsboro; great-grandson Scott Walter Kane of Red Lion, several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours were held at the Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Wellsboro, on Tuesday, April 30.
Funeral services were held immediately following the calling hours.
The Rev. Eugene A. Charsky officiated.
Burial was made in the Wellsboro Cemetery.
