Hosea Daniel ?Sam? Bass
Died at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 1980, at Baton Rouge General Hospital. He was 64, a native of Bogalusa, a former resident of Baton Rouge, and a resident of Jarreau. he was a retired construction superintendent. Visiting at Poole Funeral Home, Bogalusa, from 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday. Religious services at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, the Rev. Bill Percy of False River Baptist Church officiating. Burial in Ponemah Cemetery, Bogalusa. Survived by his wife, Myrtle Clements Bass; two sons, Terrence D. Bass, Lt. Commander, U.S. Navy, Harvey, and Bobby Ray Bass, Jarreau; a brother, Raymond W. Bass, Old Ocean, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Lela Smith, Sweeny, Texas, and Mrs. Zula Le Blanc, Port Arthur, Texas; five grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.
