Mrs. Bass was a member of First Baptist Church, Order of the Eastern Star and the Homemakers Club, all in Poplarville. Survivors include her husband, Glyndol Carl Bass of Poplarville; two daughters, Mrs. Jeanne B. Day of Poplarville and Mrs. Jo Beth Elvin of Biloxi; a son, W. Edwin Bass of Picayune; three sisters, Mrs. Josephine Brumfield of Amite, La., Mrs. Florence Magee of Tylertown and Mrs. Faye Thigpen of Poplarville; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Services were held Monday at First Baptist Church in Poplarville, with burial in Poplarville Cemetery. Winstead Funeral Home in Poplarville was in charge of arrangements.
