  Notes	Lawrence County Press, Monticello, Mississippi, 1953 Bass Family Reunion The annual Bass family reunion will be held Sunday, August 16 at Bethany Baptist church, near Prentiss, it was announced today by I.S. Bass of Pinola. This group was organized September 25, 1932, and since that time has met at this historic old church, located near the intersection of Highways 13 and 84, two miles south of Prentiss. According to present information, there are about 15,000 descendants of Esau Bass, Sr., of North Carolina, scattered throughout the United States, many of whome live in Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Louisiana, Arkansas and Texas. All members of the Bass family are urged to take to the reunion copies of any old Bible, cemetery or other family records which can be included in the Bass family history now being written by Admiral Ivan E. Bass of Washington, D.C. and Lumberton. The reunion will begin promptly at ten-thirty o?clock in the morning. Each family should take a picnic lunch.
