Randy Frank Bassett
BARRYTON -- Randy Frank Bassett, 59, of Barryton, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 17, 2018.
A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2018, at Janowicz Family Funeral Home in Remus, with burial to follow in Martiny Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 29.
Randy was born Jan. 13, 1959, the son of Frank and Nondas (McDonald) Bassett. He married the love of his life, Wilma, on April 11, 1977, and the two grew their family to include two children. A true outdoorsman, Randy loved to hunt and fish. He always kept busy outside doing something and enjoying nature. He was a loving and caring person in his own way, and had a great and also dry sense of humor. He often teased others, but didn't always receive teasing as easily as he gave it. When he would go into Subway, the workers didn't even have to ask what he wanted -- they would just start making his cold cut for him. If he had it his way, Randy would have eaten Subway three times a day everyday.
His humorous ways will be deeply missed by his wife of 41 years, Wilma Bassett; sons, Matthew and Michael Bassett; sister, Carla Bassett; grandson, Ryley Convery; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents and five children.
