Cecil Eugene Bass
BASS, Cecil Eugene "Gene", 83, of Lake Wales and Plant City, died July 10, 2012 at his home. Born December 6, 1928 to the late Elder Grover Cecil Bass and late Delsie Mae Harvill Bass in Plant City. He was the husband of Nita Clare Carlson for 57 years. He served in the US Army, worked for IMC mines, and was a member of Mt Enon Primitive Church. Gene was preceded in death by siblings, Betty Hampton Bass, and Charles Lamar Bass; daughters, Cheryl Denise Bass Tucker, Debra Kay Ireland Goodman. Gene leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Nita Clare Carlson Bass; daughters; Ministers Wanda Gene Banfield (Paul), Barbara Ann Ireland Brewer, and Carolyn Joann Ireland Stephas; Siblings, Elder Curtis Bass, Linda Merle Lewis, Gloria Jean Martin (Jerry), and Margie Marie Bass; 12 Grandchildren; 21 Great Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. A funeral service will be 11:00A.M., Friday, July 13, 2012 at Mt Enon Primitive Baptist Church, Plant City. Interment will immediately follow in Mt Enon Cemetery.
