- Robert Bassett was an accountant for the Great Western Railway while he was in England.
Leaving his family behind in England, Robert traveled to Utah on the ship SS Majestic on September 27, 1911 to try and make his fortune in silver mining. He was a janitor at the time of his death in 1926. His cemetery record says born 1867, died 1926. He is buried in Eureka Cemetery, Eureka, Juab County, Utah.
His wife's brothers, Herbert Hopes, Arthur Hopes and Ralph Hopes were already in Utah when Robert joined them.
