Victor T. Bassett
GARDNER -- Victor T. Bassett, 80, of 116 Church St., died Saturday, Nov. 17, in Fitchburg.
His wife, Jane (Sleeper) Bassett, predeceased him. He leaves a son, Jeffrey Bassett of Gardner; a daughter, Suzanne Lajoie of Gardner; a brother, Earl Bassett of Berlin, N.H.; a sister, Beatrice Molleur of Gardner; two granddaughters; a great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews. He was born in Fitzwilliam, N.H., son of Thomas J. and Roseilda (Gervais) Bassett, and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Bassett was a machine operator at the Harrington and Richardson Gun Co.
The funeral will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Jaffrey, N.H. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Veterans Homestead, 69 High St., Fitchburg, MA 01420. Wright-Roy Funeral Home, 109 West St., Leominster, is directing arrangements.
