      In the name of God Amen I William Bass of Dale Parish in Henrico County being of Perfect Memory thanks be given to God do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following. First I commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God hoping thru the meritorious Death and Passion of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to receive free pardon and forgivness of all my Sins and my Body I commit to the Earth to be decently interred at the descrtion of my Executors hereafter named and for my worldly Estate which God hath been pleased to bestow upon me I will as follows:

      Imprimis: I Will to my loving wife Siselia Bass four hundred acres of land lying and being in Henrico County near Skin Quarter Creek adjoining Henry Childers and upon the County Line to her the said Siselia during her widowhood and after her marriage I give devise and bequeath the said four hundre Acres of land to my Son William Bass his Heirs and Assigns forever.

      Item: I give device and bequeath to my three Sons, William Christopher, and Edward, fourteen hundred ninety and seven Acres of Land lying in Amelia County and my Will is that my Son Edward begin at the corner C mentioned in my Platt and come by a straight Course to Appomattox River and touching the Plantation, and that the Remaining part be equally divided between the other two and my son William to take the Lower part to the said William, Christopher and Edward their Heirs and Assigns forever.

      Item: I give devise and bequeath to my son William Bass two negro Boys names Spark and John also twenty Pounds Current Money Virginia.

      Item: I give devise and bequeath to my son Christopher Bass the Plantation and my Land adjoining where he now lives also two Hundred and fifty Acres of Land lying and being Goochland County joining the County Line where Worby lived to him the said Christopher his Heirs and Assigns for ever. I also give to my said son Christopher two Negroes named Mitchel and Abram also my Troopers Arms he hath now in his possession and two Cows and Calves.

      Item: I give devise and bequeath to my son Edward Bass four hundred acres of Land Lying and being in Henrico County being part of a Survey of Eight Hundred Acres to begin at a Corner Pine on Flourney?s Line and to take the inward part of the Survey not touching the Plantation to him the said Edward his Heirs and Assigns forever.

      Item: I give to my said son Edward three Negroes named Mingo Bristol and Tim one Horse of six Pounds Value one Feather Bed and Furniture of eight Pound value half a dozn. new Pewter Dishes half a Dozn Leather Chairs one Square Walnut Table half a Dozn. new Pewter Plates one Iron Pot to contain six gallons one Brass Candlestick four Cows and Calves to Ews and Lambs two Sows and Pigs and one new Gun that is noe called his.

      Item: I give devise and bequeath to my Son Joseph Bass my Plantation where I now live and all my Land adjoining to him the Said Joseph his Heirs and Assigns forever also three Negroes named Prince Brannum and Stephey one Horse and saddle of eight Pounds Value half a Dozen. Leather Chairs one Swuare Walnut Table half a Dozn. new Pewter Dishes half a Dozn. new Pewter Plates one Iron Pott to contain six gallons one Brass Candlestick four Cows and Calves two Ews and Lambs two Sows and Pigs and one new gun that is now called his. My further Will is if either one of my Sons Edward and Joseph died before they come of Age the Survivor would have his part of Land and Personal part of his Portion be divided equally amongst all my children.

      Item: I give devise and bequeath to my daughter Mary Walthall two Negro boys named Tom and Dick four Cows with Calf two Ews and Lambs and one Silver Tumbler.

      Item: I will to my daughter Ann Bass two Negro girls named Mariah and Dianah and one Negro boy named Punch during her natural life and after her Deceased to be equally divided amongst her Issue and if no Issue to be equally divided between by two Daughters Elizabeth and Sarah I also give to my said Daughter Ann one Horse and Woman?s Saddle to the Value of ten Pounds two Silver Spoons and fifty Pounds Current Money Virginia.

      Item: I will to my daughter Elizabeth Bass two Negro girls named Aggee and Nell one Negro Boy named Daniel during her natrual life and after her Deceased to be equally divided amongst her Issue and if no Issue to be equally divided between my two Daughters Ann and Elizbeth I also give to my said Daughter Sarah one Horse and Woman?s Saddle to the Value of Ten pounds two Silver Spoons and fifty Pounds Current Money Virginia.

      Item: I will to my loving wife Siselia one half of Redwater Mill and one half of the Utensils therin contained during her widowhood and after her Marriage or Death I give devise and bequeath the one half of the afor said Mill and Utensils to my Son Joseph Bass his Heirs and Assigns forever.

      Item: I will the Increase of my three negro women named Hannah Jenny and Beck should to to make up the Quantities before given to my Sons Edward and Joseph and my Daughters Ann and Elizabeth and Sarah Provided any of the aforesaid Negroes given to them should die before they come of age.

      I appoint my good Friends Thomas Branch Benjamin Branch and Seth Ward to determine all Controversies tht shall arise between my wife and any of my children after my Decease.

      Lastly I will to my Loving Wife Siselia Bass after the aforesaid Bequests and Legacies are paid all my Negroes and rest of My Personal Estate during her Widowhood and after her marriage or Death to be equally divided amongst all my Children and I do Constitute and Appiont my said Wife and my Son William Bass Joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament Revoking and making Null all other Wills formerly made by me.
