In the name of God amen I William Bass being sick and weak in body but in perfect memory thanks be to Almighty God do make and appoint this my last will and testament. Firstly I give my soul to God who gave it to me and my body to be buried according to the wishes of my wife and friends. Secondly I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Elizabeth Bass a yearling heifer belonging to my brown cow and four pewter dishes and the last bed that I fitted up Thirdly and lastly I make an appoint my loving wife Hester Bass my executrix given under my hand this fourteenth day of April one thousand six hundred ninety five.
