The Sentinel, Ticonderoga, New York, Thursday, July 21 1898 Obituary Joseph Bessette, and old and respected resident, died July 14, age 68 years. He did not suffer from any special disease, but simply wasted away. The funeral was held at the residence on Friday, Rev. G. W. Easton, officiating. Interment was at Mount Hope cemetery. Those from out of town in attendance at the funeral where his brothers, Herbert Bessette of Waterbury, Conn.; his daughter, Mrs. L.L. Compton of Albany, and his sons, Joseph and Bert Bessette from White River Junction.
