Helston Silver Wedding
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bassett, of 9 Wendron-street, Helston, received numerous messages of congratulations when they celebrated their silver jubilee on Wednesday.
Mrs. Bassett was formerly Miss Mary Cammack. They were married at the Wesleyan Methodist Church, College Park, Lewisham, London, by the late Rev. W. Hart. Mr. Bassett is a native of Helston, and the only son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Bassett, Helston. Mr. Bassett?s mother was the daughter of the late Inspector Grant, of Helston. The present Mrs. Bassett is a native of London. They had two daughters.
Mr. Bassett was formerly in business in London, but succeeded to the old-established of wholesale and retail tobacconists, which was carried on by his father, and afterwards by his uncle, at 9, Wendron-street, Helston. Mr. Bassett has been proprietor of that business during the last 25 years. He is an active member of the Helston (Wesley) Methodist Church.
They received numerous presents.
