Will of Jordan Bass
In the name of God, Amen. I, Jordan Bass, Sr., of the County of Christian and State, of Kentucky, do make and ordain this to be my last will and testament, revoking all these that have been heretofore made by me.
FIRST ? that my body be deposited in the dust from which it came and my sould to God who gave it.
SECOND ? that all my just debts be paid.
THIRD ? I give and bequeath to my daughter Queeney Care five dollars in mony.
FOURTH ? I give and bequeath to my daughter Patsey Imbler twenty-five dollars in money.
FIFTH ? Ig ve and bequeath to my daughter Polly Hail five dollars.
SIXTH ? I give and bequeath to my daughter Amie (Eunice) Harkins twenty-fve dollars in money.
SEVENTH ? I give and bequeath to y daughter Suraney Atkinson twenty-five dollars in mondy.
EIGHTH ? I give and bequeath to my daughter Jane Oats twenty-five dollars in mondy
NINTH ? I give and bequeath to my daughter Matilda Butler twenty-five dollars in money.
TENTH ? I give and bequeath to my son Sion Bass fifty dollars in mondy.
ELEVENTH ? I give and bequeath to my son J.C. Bass fifty dollars in money.
TWELVTH ? I give and bequeath to my son John N. Bass my Negro boy Peyton.
I wish my Negros, land and all other property sold and proceeds of same equally divided between my four sons, J.C. Bass, Jordan Bass, Sion Bas and John N. Bass (after paying all my debts and bequests before mentioned, with the exception of one bed, furniture which I wish my son Jordan Bass to have.)
I appoing my friend F. B. Hancock of Greenville my executor of this my last will and testament. In witness thereto I have hereunto set my hand on this 3rd day of July 1862.
