Emily G. Bass
BOONVILLE -- Emily G. Bass, age 94, of Boonville, Indiana, died at 10:15 a.m., Friday, May 16, 2003, at St. Mary's Warrick Hospital in Boonville, Indiana.
She was born on October 2, 1908, in Pike County, Indiana, near Stendal, to Morton and Dora (Beadles) Woolsey. She was united in marriage to Marion Eugene Bass on December 24, 1926, in Petersburg, Indiana.
She was a homemaker, a member of Bethel General Baptist Church, and a member of the Warrick County Senior Citizens in Boonville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Eugene Bass, who died in 1970, and by one son, Paul E. Bass, who died in 1996.
She is survived by one daughter, Lois Bass Bailey of Lynnville, Ind.; one sister, Flora Montgomery of Boonville, Ind.; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; and five great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Emily Bass will be held at 1 p.m., E.S.T., Sunday, May 18, 2003, at the Bethel General Baptist Church near the Scottsburg Community, with burial to follow in Barrett Cemetery (Scottsburg Community). The Rev. Revis Eastham will officiate the funeral service.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg from 2 to 9 p.m., E.S.T., Saturday, and at the church one hour prior to the funeral service on Sunday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethel General Baptist Church.
