  Notes	Unknown California History Albert G. Barton was born in 1838 in Eaton Township, Lorain County, Ohio. He was a son of James Harvey Barton, a native of New York state, who married Eliza Bassett, native of New York, daughter of Samuel Bassett (should read Daniel Bassett), a pioneer in Ohio. She died on the home farm in Wisconsin.
