  Notes	Springfield Union, Monday, November 20, 1961 Mrs. Ernest A. Coffin DEERFIELD ? Mrs. Blanche (Bassett) Coffin, 74, of Main St. died Saturday morning at her home. Born in Minneapolis, Minn., daughter of Charles E. and Laura (Smith) Bassett, she had been a resident of Deerfield 35 years, and had married Ernest A. Coffin in Bridgeport, Conn., in 1910. He retired in 1960 after teaching at Deerfield Academy 35 years. She was a member of First Church of Deerfield and a member of the Women?s Club. Mrs. Coffin leaves her husband; a son, Kenneth P. of Cleveland, O.; a daughter, Mrs. Muriel Andersen in New Jersey; five grandchildren; two brothers, Milton Bassett in Vermont and John Bassett in Connecticut; and a sister, Mrs. Alice Hoyt of Bridgeport. Funeral services will be today at 2 in First Church in Deerfield, with Rev. Charles Titsworth officiating. An organ prelude will begin at 1:45. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
