Born in Camden, S.C., he was the son of Bertha Rabon Bass and the late Henry Bass, Jr. He enjoyed truck driving, spending time with his grandchildren and loved being outdoors. Surviving in addition to his mother of Camden, are a 2 sons, John Henry Bass, Jr. of Sevierville, TN, Henry Rowland Bass of Lancaster; 2 daughters, Crystal Shepard of Camden, Monica Bass of Lancaster; 8 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Jimmy Bass of Bethune, Timmy Bass of Camden; 3 sisters, Bertha Mae Clack of Westville, Joann Sowell of Kershaw and Kimberly Faulkenberry of Cassatt.
