Bass, 44, of Nashville, Indiana, passed from this life at 1:56 a.m. Thursday, December 23, 2021, in Seymour, Indiana. Nathan was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, April 24, 1977, the youngest child born to the late Raymond O. and Margaret Bell Bass. Nathan was an accomplished chef and most recently was an executive chef at the Hilton Garden Inn in Taylorsville, Indiana. Nathan cherished the time he spent with his sons, and he enjoyed collecting silver coins. He had a passion for Elvis memorabilia and antiques. Surviving to cherish Nathan?s memory are his sons, Zachary (Haley) Bass of Nashville, Indiana and Gabriel Bass of Franklin, Indiana; his companion, Stephanie Shubert of Seymour, Indiana; siblings, Jimmy Bass of Arkansas, Patrick Bass of Minnesota, Linda Bass of Minnesota, Brenda Smith of Indianapolis, Indiana, Jack Bass of Minnesota, and Peggy Brewer of Medora, Indiana; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Nathan was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Margaret Bass. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Albert Skinner officiating.
