Born March 11, 1973, in New Kensington, he was a resident of the area his entire life. Christopher was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Survivors include his parents, Ronald E. Bassett Sr., of New Kensington, and Karen M. Hill Bassett, of Tarentum; brothers, William E. (Heather) Bassett, of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Everett Bassett, of New Kensington; his fiancee, Amy Panichella; nephew, Ryan Robitaille, of West Palm Beach; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald E. Bassett Jr., in October 2009; paternal grandmother, Gloria Shelton; and maternal grandmother, Minnie Hill. Friends are invited to a memorial service at 1 p.m. Sunday in the ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, 724-335-1234. Burial will be private.
