BASSETT, Helen (Purdon) of Medford, formerly of Somerville and Pleasant Point, ME. Passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on June 5th, 2022. Daughter of the late John and Helen Purdon. Beloved wife of 60 years to the late Francis Bassett. She is now reunited with her three children Diane, Paul, and Louis whom predeceased her. Loving and devoted mother of Dale Mitchell and his wife Brenda of Pleasant Point, ME, Michael Bassett and his wife Michelle of Billerica, Chris Bassett of Somerville, and Gina Pedrini and her husband Rick of Medford. Sister of John ?Uncle Bub? Purdon of Chelmsford and the late Ann Soctomah. Devoted grandmother of Terran, Kyla, and Leah Moore, Timothy Hogan, Keenan Bassett, and especially Diane and Matthew Pedrini with whom she loved, adored, and lived with the past three 3 years. Helen was a retired Somerville School Teacher. An avid sports fan, she would watch any sport on TV. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation at the Keefe Funeral Home, 5 Chestnut St., (Rt.60, adjacent to St. Agnes Church) ARLINGTON on Saturday from 9:30-11 am. Followed by her funeral mass in Saint Agnes? Church at 11:30 am. Helen?s funeral mass can be live streamed at https://cparl.org/. Frank and Helen?s memorial service and burial will be held in Maine in the summer. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Helen?s memory to Care Dimensions Hospice, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
