At Cliffe Hall, Yorkshire, aged 61, Richard Bassett Wilson, esq. He was the elder son of the late Johh Wilson, esq. of Seacroft Hall, co. York (who died in 1836), by Martha, dau. of Richard Bassett, esq., of Glentworth, Co. Lincoln, and was born in 1806. He was educated at University Coll., Oxford, where he graduated B.A. in 1829, and proceeded M.A. in 1833, and was a magistrate and deputy-lieut. for the North Riding of co. York. The immediate ancestor of the family of the deceased was John Wilson, of Camphall, Leeds, who established himself there about the middle of the 18th century. The late Mr. Wilson married, in 1938, Anne, dau. of William Fitzgerald, esq., of Adelphi, co. Clare, by whom he has left with other issue, a son and heir, John Gerald, born in 1811.
