Born in Endicott, NY on Oct. 3, 1926, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Petro) Buhay and was retail clerk for Burt's Department Store, formerly of Endicott, for 25 years before retiring. She is survived by sons, Atty. Jack M. Bassett of Avon, Richard M. Bassett of West Hartford; grandchildren, Kimberly and Courtney Bassett; and great-grandchildren, Chad, Kyle, and Glen Talbom; sister, anne Parker of Vestal, NY, Susan Briggs of Charlotte, NC; and a brother, John Buhay of Marietta, GA. Her funeral will be held Thursday, 9 a.m., from the Allen Funeral Home, 511 East Main St., Endicott, NY, followed by a Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Ambrose Church. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. Burial in Riverhurst Memorial Cemetery.
