Mrs. Lucille Elizabeth Bassett, wife of Clifford G. Bassett of North Salem Road, died at her home his morning after a long illness.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth Puff Spellit.
A resident of Ridgefield for 37 years, she was a member of St. Stephen?s Episcopal church, Mamanasco Chapter, O.E.S, and Mary Rebekah Lodge.
Mrs. Bassett?s first husband was the alte August Rosenthal of Ridgefield.
In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Marie Roberts of Danbury and two step-sons, Ronald of Ridgefield, and Everett of Ridgebury and several grandchildren.
Funeral services will take place at St. Stephen?s church at a time to be announced. Friends may call at the William C. Kane Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 and from 7 to 9 p.m.
