Miss Gwendolyn Bassett Weds Lieut. Goodwin
Mr. and Mrs. Milo E. Bassett of 40 South New Road, announce the marriage of their daughter, Gwendolyn Campbell, to First Lieutenant Francis P. Goodwin, Infantry, U.S.A., at Philadelphia, on Monday, October 14, by the Rev. Alvin L. Copper.
Mrs. Goodwin was formerly chief operator at the Mays Landing Telephone exchange. Lieut. Goodwin has served five years in the regular army, being stationed three years at For Shafter, Honolulu, Hawaiian Island, and two years in active service at Mexico and the Big Bend County of Texas. The young couple met at Fort Meyer, Va., sometime ago, where Mrs. Goodwin was visiting with her mother.
The Lieutenant will return to Camp Lee, Va., October 21. Mrs. Goodwin will remain at home with her parents for sometime before joining Lieut. Goodwin at Camp Lee.
