Miss Ruth Porter and Mr. Murdock Johnson Married in Dorchester
At the First Parish Church of Dorchester, Wednesday night, Miss Ruth Bassett Porter and Mr. Murdock Matheson Johnson were married. Rev. Dr. Shepley performed the wedding ceremony. Mr. W.F. Stowe acted as best man. Miss Porter was attired in white satin, trimmed with white pearls and chiffon. The maid of honor wore black satin, trimmed with black jets and pointed lace. Messrs. Herbert Lane, Frederick Cochran, W.W. Stowe, F.H. Leman, H.B. Lent and James Hilton were the ushers. A reception was given to their friends at the bride?s home on Stanley Street after leaving the church. Many presents were received by Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, who are well known young people of Dorchester.
