The Newlywed Suerstedts Have Alameda Address
Now ?at home? in Alameda are Lieutenant Commander and Mrs. Henry Suerstedt Jr. (Mary Jo Bass) following their recent marriage in El Paso, Texas.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Feris A. Bass of Alice, Texas. She is a graduate of Texas College of Arts and Industries, where she was a member of Delta Theta sorority.
The benedict is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Suerstedt, of Oakland, and is a graduate of San Francisco Junior College. With the Pacific Fleet for two years, he received the Silver Star Medal and a commendation ribbon. He is not stationed at the Naval Air Station in Alameda.
The young couple were honored at a reception recently at the home of the bridegroom?s parents.

Mary Josephine Suerstedt, 81, of Coronado died April 16. She was born in San Saba, Texas, and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her daughter, Candace Suerstedt-Eckel of Driftwood, Texas; and four grandchildren.
Services and inurnment at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery, Point Loma, have been held.
