Kathryn Hardy

She dedicated her life to raising her family of eight children. She shared her love of the gospel of Jesus Christ by teaching all age groups. Her favorite calling in church was being the primary chorister where she was able to use her love for music as she taught children through song. When her children were young, she would dedicate time to serve in the PTO and an individual classrooms. If she felt that too many shenanigans were taking place, she would remind her children that she could be to the school at a moment's notice. Some of her favorite past times were crocheting, reading and gardening. She loved reading and studying the scriptures the most. She had a great sense of humor and was always up for an adventure whether it be a midnight book release, a midnight movie, or eating pizza in the car on a road trip. She was proceeded in death by 1 son and both of her parents. She is survived by her 4 daughters, 3 sons, 2 daughter-in-laws, 1 son-in-law, 15 grandchildren, 3 sisters and 5 brothers. There will be a memorial service at 10:00 am on Thursday February 23, 2023 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints chapel located at 1705 Murray Circle, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Kathryn Ann Hardy, 71, passed away on February 16, 2023 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
She was born on February 19, 1951 in Chadron, Nebraska to Arthur Lynn and Anna May (Wright) Bassett.
Kathryn was a homemaker.
Kathryn is survived by her daughters, Charlene Wilhelm, Stacy Hardy, Jennifer Schwertfeger, and Laural Green; her sons, Warren Hardy, Michael Hardy, and Richard Hardy; and fifteen grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Anna Bassett.
