Bass, who passed away Friday, March 7 at Shelbyville, Indiana, was held at the Methodist church in Julian at 2:30 o?clock Monday afternoon, Rev. J.J. Reed conducting the services and assisted by Rev. L.L. Webb, pastor of the United Bretrhen church and Rev. Rosa L. Webb, pastor of the Congregational church. Mr. Bass was born in Indiana, July 21, 1864, and when a young man came to this state and on August 31, 1893 was married to Lula M. Epler, who preceeded him in death August 10, 1900. He is survived by three children, Raymond M. Bass, of Shelbyville, Indiana; Mrs. C.W. mason of Los Angeles, California; and Jacob J. Epler of Julian. After the funeral services the interment was made in Camp Creek cemetery beside the grave of his wife.
