Emmett Bass
BASS - Emmett (Leon) Bass, Jr., born April 9, 1947, aged 63 of Belmont, passed away on January 21, 2011 after a brave battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Linda (Rothenthaler) Bass; two daughters, Angela Gessner, Amy Bass and her fiance', Dan Dial; four precious grandchildren, Samantha and Dominik Dzierzyc, Mason and Kamryn Gessner; two sisters, Jean Aycock and Margaret (Jack) Poplin; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Leon served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and had retired from Terryberry after 40 years of service. Relatives and friends may meet his family at the Reyers North Valley Chapel from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, where a celebration of his memories will be held at 7 p.m. Interment in Plainfield Twp. Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association. Reyers North Valley Chapel.
