Ruby Lee Spence Ballard Bass
Died Friday, June 23, 1995, at Riverview Medical Center, Gonzales. She was 68 and a native of Livingston Parish. Visiting at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, 1 to 10 p.m. Sunday. Visiting at the funeral home 10 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Barry Foster. Interment in Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery. Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Bob Laspe; four sons and daughters-in-law, Sidney "Snookie" and Marie, Mallory and Faye, Danny and Sueand Byron and Donna Ballard; two sisters, Hazel Felder and Lois Daniels; 13 grandchildren, Laura Higgins, David and Drew Dykes, Lane, Lance, Rodney, James Lanis, Tony, Chantelle and Mishaux Ballard, Byron L. Herrod, Aaron and Eric Morton; six great-grandchildren; and a cousin, Donald Ray "Scratch" Martin. Preceded in death by first husband, Sidney L. Ballard; second husband, Gene L. Bass; and a brother, Luther Spence. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Denham Springs.
