Juanita Forehand Bass
Juanita Forehand Bass, 85, peacefully passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022. Juanita was born in Wayne County on March 2, 1937 to the late Tommy Forehand and Maggie Davis Forehand.
Juanita loved being a wife, mother and grandmother. She married the one God chose for her for this life, Billy Bass, and together they made quite the team. Raising their children was a gift she could give and she was grateful for every opportunity to love on them. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her even more joy. Losing her husband recently left a hole that simply could not be filled. They are now reunited once again together and with their daughter, Dana.
As much as Juanita loved her family, her first love was the Lord. She sought to serve Him with her life. She worshiped and gave of her gifts at Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church. She will be dearly missed by those who loved her.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. ? 2:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate Juanita's life at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Mark Whitfield officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Fremont, NC.
Juanita is survived by son, Bill Bass, Jr. and wife Dara of Kinston; grandchildren, Alex Weaver (Schylar), Summer Weaver (Mort), Joshua Bass (Ashlyn) and Spencer Bass (Rachel); great-grandchildren, Ali Jade Weaver and Calvin Fuller; sisters, Gladys Goff, Louise Daw, Margie Daw, Christine Grimes, Atha Howell and Tommie Harris.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Bass, daughter, Dana Weaver and her sister, Gatha Martin.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Pikeville Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church at 336 Nahunta Road, Pikeville, N.C., 27863.
