Dolly B. Watts
Retired from Springs Industries
Dolly Elizabeth (Bass) Watts, 66, wife of Ernest Lee Watts Sr., died Thursday, March 25, 2004, at Wallace Thomson Hospital. Mrs. Watts was born in Chester Feb. 7, 1938, a daughter of the late John Joe Bass and Carrie Lou Feaster Bass. She attended Chester High School, was a member of Salem Baptist Church and was retired from Springs Industries.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Angela Watts Flynn of Rock Hill and Dolly Ann Watts of Lancaster, Calif.; a son, Ernest Lee Watts Jr. of Columbia; two brothers, Joseph T. Bass of Chesnee and Wylie A. Bass of Carlisle; and two sisters, Fran Bass Wilson and Sarah Bass Sistrunk, both of Carlisle.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Salem Baptist Church by the Rev. Don Leslie and the Rev. Alvin Biggerstaff, minister to the deaf. Burial will be in Chester Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers are nephews, John Sistrunk, Bobby Bass, Joey Bass and William Sistrunk Jr. The family will receive friends at the church from 2 until 3 p.m. today. Memorials may be made to Salem Baptist Church, Tinker Creek Road, Union, S.C. 29379. Barron Funeral Home of Chester has charge of arrangements.
