Mrs. Bass was born June 28, 1919, in Wards Creek, Texas. She was a homemaker and member of Nevills Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Brandon Baker. Survivors include her husband, Leonard Bass; two sons and daughters-in-law, Merrill and Emma Bass and Gary and Paula Bass; two daughters and sons-inlaw, Nora and Rusty Denny and Lana and Glenn Kocurck; one brother, G.F. Barrett; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Nevills Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Glenn Griffith officiating. Burial will be in Wards Creek Cemetery under direction of Bates-Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
